PM Modi told the truth of digital arrest
While discussing this in the Mann Ki Baat program, PM Modi said, “Fraud people calling for digital arrest scam sometimes call impersonating big officials (fake) of Police, CBI, Narcotics, RBI etc. “Fake officers speak with great confidence.”
The PM said, “The first move of such fraud people is to know your ‘personal information’. They already collect complete information about you, like – you went to Goa last month, your daughter studies in Delhi. etc.”
The PM said, “The second ploy of such fraud people is to create an ‘atmosphere of fear’ in the mind of the victim. For this, they try to deceive people over the phone through fake uniforms, setup of government offices, legal provisions etc. Will scare you so much that you won’t be able to think anything.”
PM Modi further said, “The third ploy of such scammers is to put ‘time pressure’. They say that you have to decide now, otherwise we will have to arrest you. He told that, these people They create so much psychological pressure that he gets scared.”
PM Narendra Modi further said, “People of every age and class are among the people who are victims of digital arrest. Many people have lost lakhs of rupees earned by their hard work due to such fear.”
PM told how to avoid digital arrest scam
While explaining how to keep yourself safe from this scam, PM Modi said, “If you ever get such a call, you do not have to be afraid. You should know that no investigating agency will conduct such inquiries on phone call or video call. Never does.”
The PM told that, “You can avoid such fraud people and also complain about them through three steps, stop, think and take action.” The PM said that whenever you get such a call, you do not have to be afraid. We have to wait a bit, then think carefully about it and then take action.”

The PM said that if possible, “You should make a video or audio recording of such a call. After that call the National Cyber Helpline 1930 or report it on cybercrime.gov.in and inform your family and the police about it.” In the end, PM Modi once again told in clear words that there is no system like digital arrest in the law.
